Premier League will return on June 17 with Man City vs Arsenal lined up as first games

Premier League clubs were involved in a meeting to discuss Project Restart on Wednesday afternoon.


It was revealed that sides had agreed to resume the league in the middle of June.


And now, per the Telegraph, it has been revealed that the Premier League will restart on June 17 with two fixtures.


Aston Villa will welcome Sheffield United while Man City will host Arsenal.


When those games are completed, every team in the league will have played 29 games.


Another Premier League game may be played on Friday June 19 but the full round of fixtures will start on Saturday June 20 with matches staggered across the weekend.




A full fixture list will then be played on the weekend of June 19 to 21.



The Premier League are hoping to wrap up the 2019-20 season by August 2, with the FA Cup final scheduled to take place in the same month.
